| Introduction |
| |
| Loreto College is a co-educational grammar school with a five form intake and about 800 students. The school is situated at the top of Castlerock Road in Coleraine.
We are located just 4 miles from the seaside town of Castlerock and our the nearest well-known landmark (or monument) would probably be
Musenden Temple.
As you can see, Coleraine is situated in the North of Northern Ireland. It has the Lower Bann River running through, which reaches the sea at the 'Bar Mouth'; an estuary separating Castlerock from Portstewart.
Coleraine is the oldest known settlement in Ireland. It is famous for its linen, salmon and whiskey. Laid out by The Irish Society in 1611, it continues to be a thriving commercial centre and it has a University. |

| Teachers help one another within their own schools. Ideas,
observations and written resources are shared. I would like to try to broaden
this to include exchanges between schools. |

| Pupils too have ideas, observations and perhaps written
materials that they are willing to share. If you have something that might be
worth sharing in respect of Secondary School Science please E-mail it to me. A
link to it will be created on our "Pupils'
Corner". Thanks. |
