We are a co-educational grammar school with a five form intake and about 800 students. The school is situated at the top of Castlerock Road in Coleraine.
|
We are located just 4 miles from the seaside town of Castlerock and our the nearest well-known landmark (or monument) would probably be Musenden Temple, shown opposite. |
|
| As you can see, Coleraine is situated in the North of Northern Ireland. It has the Lower Bann River running through, which reaches the sea at the 'Bar Mouth'; an estuary separating Castlerock from Portstewart |

Coleraine is the oldest known settlement in Ireland. It is famous for its linen, salmon and whiskey. Laid out by The Irish Society in 1611, it continues to be a thriving commercial centre and it has a University. |
The
school has its own main web site.

We started to develop this Science Web Site in JANUARY 2000. The aims have already been set out on the Opening Page, but they are worth repeating here. They are: -
Help
our own pupils to access internally held resources
(these
include handouts, past-papers and articles from
Science Periodicals)
Help our own pupils to find relevant WWW resources.
Encourage correspondence with people of similar interests (teachers, students, industrialists, careers advisers, academics, non-academics, etc.)
Help and encourage our pupils to create interesting web pages and to take a more altruistic view of education.
